Just Trying to Survive

Hello my readers!  No, I haven't died just yet.  I was away working some pretty hellish hours.  When you're working, time just flies by.  A manager of mine told me once that the more you do, time will seem to go back much faster.  Of course he understood the boring and mundane nature of working in a pharmacy/retail and that was pretty much all I needed to know to get through the day.  Bored at work!?  Well, he just pretty much told me the secret.  If you're always busy and doing something; you'll never be easily bored.  For me, I feel more confident and have a positive outlook when I keep myself busy and doing something "productive".  Instead of wasting your time tell yourself how bored you are, you should be doing something!  By doing something constructive, time goes by much faster.  You'll feel lighter on your toes and have a more positive attitude towards the working world.

The reason why I'm here today is because I had the weekend off.  Yes, I actually didn't need to work this weekend.  It's such a surprise.  I made sure to get in my workout, my tea, water, meals, and sleep.  I enjoyed playing a few games online.  I also tried to discover news games to play instead of my old, routine games I always play.  None the less, "we all" go back to work tomorrow morning.  Yes, the vicious cycle repeats itself yet again.  I wouldn't be dreading it so much if I found something I liked doing for work.  Doing x-rays for a living isn't that bad.  It's not bad.  It can be stressful at times depending on how many patients you do per day.  They give you a laundry list of patients in the morning, but as time goes on there's even more patients!?  So you never know who you'll have to see.  You just know that everyone you see is f*cked up and needs medical attention/care.  This job is the most money I've earned, but it's also the most demanding job I've ever had.  "Minimum effort equals minimum wage" is something my old biology professor would drill into our heads.  Yes, I can tackle a minimum wage job as a cashier and not give a hoot all day; but I hated the payout.  You just never earn enough money.  The hours are long, and you feel as though there's no future.  Now that I'm doing x-rays in the healthcare industry, I'm exhausted to meet new faces everyday.  Hell, a lot of the faces are very old and decrepit.  Well that's the healthcare industry for you.  It's not a pretty site, but they'll pay you money to work your ass off.

Tomorrow beings another whole new biweekly check cyclical cycle.  You'll see cars and trucks driving all over the place through rain, snow, and/or sleet.  As long as there's money to be made, people will be working no matter what.  What else should I do differently?  Should I start streaming myself and make a youtube documentary about the life a x-ray tech?  I guess I should.  Coming up with new ideas is important.  It's not always good to be doing the same thing over and over again.  You need to keep up with the times, be creative, and even be original.  I'll start filming tomorrow if I get the chance.  I'll make sure to bring my equipment in the van to show my audience what it's like to have a job in the healthcare industry.  I hope I don't get in trouble with my company.  I don't think anyone would care.  I don't make enough money for anyone to give a damn.  It'll just be like any other day.  I hope I don't get ticketed for "obstruction of view" with my camera lingering around.  None the less, we all have to go to work tomorrow.  "I hate my job" is something very common you feel on Monday mornings.  God bless you if you actually love your job.  Loving my job is something I have to work on.  I've tried several different kinds of jobs, and I pretty much hate all of them.  At the heart of it, I'm more of an entrepreneur.  I create my own job and runs things from there.  It's not easy, but establishing your own company and clientele can be done.  I have my own side business selling collectibles but it's just not enough sustainability to reproduce enough money like working the grind.  As a result, it's basically back to the grind of us would-be entrepreneurs I establish my own reliable source of clients/investors/customers through proper networking and marketing.  "The customer is always right" is an old saying.  You have to satisfy both the customers' needs as well as your own interests and passions.  It's not easy, but it can be done with time.

Thank you for reading and keep up with my blog.  I hope to post some new videos when I have time.  I appreciate getting 8 hours of sleep a day.  I know it's not money or fame, but sleep is awesome.  I'll see you next time!  God Bless!

Back from The Grind

Without a doubt, it has been a long week of work.  It's cold as hell outside and patients are constantly getting sick.  You may very well not be sick, but what about the old people?  What about the most vulnerable people in society?  Did you bother to stop thinking about yourself for once and think about someone else's needs?  I sure as hell didn't.  Like most things, it falls under the category of business.  My company pays me to see sick, old people.  I guess that's what the vast majority of the entire healthcare industry is about.  No, it's not easy.  I've seen the nurses work harder than I do.  They don't even have time to sit down and take a lunch break.  It's pretty bad out there.  I mean there isn't even a war or famine going on.  There's nothing in the environment causing people to get old or lose their health.  Sickness and disease affects individuals left and right like no tomorrow for no obvious reasons.  Lack of exercise?  Lack of nutrition?  Lack of mental stimulus?  What the hell is wrong with these people?  Maybe, it's just old age?  When we get old, we lose our health and slowly die off.  I guess that's just how it is.  It doesn't have anything to do if you're rich or poor.  No matter how much money you have, you can't bring it anywhere after you die.  You think pharmaceutical companies can save people from old age?  You think exercise and eating healthy is going to last forever?  You think meditation and reading books is going to keep you young until your heart gives way?  None of us wants to think about this.  We just want to live life to the fullest.  We are selfish human beings.

In terms of caring for others and real work experience, none of us seem to want to care unless we are getting paid for our time; which is why you should never forget about your interests.  Can you imagine how much more successful school systems would be if they focused more on a student's individual interests and career goals as opposed to enforcing minimum requirements just to get by for standardized testing?  No one cares about school grades and tests scores in the real world.  People are dying of a disease, and they need a cure.  They don't need to see your damn SAT from high school.  Do you have a vaccine or not?  I'm pretty sure they'll pay you a lot more for coming up with a cure/vaccine than scoring a perfect score on the LSAT's or whatever God awful exam they have kids take these days.  Welcome to the hell kids.  It's always about The Grind.  Very few of us will ever be able to think outside the box, discover new products/inventions, or reach our dreams.

People often have different interests that conflict with your personal goals that they will enforce.  If it isn't the school system then it's be some kind of other government system like law enforcement, the military, or even the Environmental Protection Agency.  Someone or some entity will always be after you for one reason or another.  So are we all doomed to live out miserable lives for the sake of The Grind?  Hey, you can always play the lottery or just not give a crap.  I don't want to care.  I just want to take my time off and not care.  Business this and business that.  Who the hell cares?  Mothers may instinctively care about people in the family.  Males ultimately don't give a crap unless money or sex is involved.  You have the right to not give a crap.  I know I don't want to care or at least keep caring to a minimal to avoid trouble.  Not caring is my ultimately solution to the vast majority of questions to life.  Just don't give a crap, and you'll be fine.

Thank you for reading!  I hope to get some relaxation and peace this weekend as I don't want to be bothered by hurling molten fiery boulders of fecal matter.
