Sunday - The Day before the Dreaded Monday

Well, now that the weekend is slowly dying down; I can feel the dreaded Monday morning already trying to creep up on me and the unsuspecting public.  All of the rush of trying to be busy and being productive washed away on the weekend, only to float back up onto the shore like it never left.  Monday morning, that teary, shut eye that doesn't want to wake up and smell the coffee.  That gross feeling of being too lazy to get up out of bed and sinking further, deeper into the earth.  I can only imagine Monday mornings is difficult just for about everyone.  That's why you need important things like inspiration, motivation, and goals.  Without the will or discipline, there's no reason for anyone to be getting up and rising out of bed.  We would all just be fat and lazy.  There must be a key inside of each person that unlocks the secret, unlimited potential of the human spirit to achieve those things in life that are otherwise unreachable through mediocre, mechanical means and actions.  Unfortunately, not many people want to open this door of unlimited potential because they maybe afraid of failure or even success for that matter.  The end result is what we commonly see everyday of people stuck in same dead end 9-5 jobs.  I don't want to be like "the everyone else".  It's my goal to strive to be able to work for myself and set my own hours; or at least have a job that doesn't suck.  We've all been there of having to work under someone else that we hate, but I believe in some alternate universe there can be someone out there that you will love working for even if it happens to be yourself.  God, I wish I won the lottery or at least inherited a ton of money.  Instead of squandering the money on overpriced luxuries, I would put the money into a new start up company or at least buildup my already existing one.  Yes, I have an already existing business in mind that's somewhat functional and in operating condition.  Much like how Google or Apple was started, mine also happens to be starting out in the household basement/garage.  I will have to fish out a decent picture.  Behold!  My makeshift business model!
Things are constantly sold in and out at random times during the day and night.  There's a very low cost of overhead, because guess what!?  It's in the basement!  Instead of spending thousands of dollars on space like ordinary retail stores, mine is just secretly hidden and stuffed inside of the basement walls!  The internet is mostly responsible for all of my hit sales and customers.  I'm responsible for keeping the goods and products lined up.  Like an over sized deck of playing cards, my fundamental job is to hunt down more and more products.  America is lacking in manufacturing plants, which means that everything is "Made in China".  Most retail stores just order their products from large, wholesalers.  As a small businessman, I do not have the resources to produce my own manufactured goods.  It would just take too much time to design engineering plans, patents, copyrights, legal documents of ownership, etc.  What someone in my shoes can do is find an already existing product and make it better.  To make an existing product better is simple:  Just lower the price.  The key is to be able to find a extremely low buying price, buy out the entire stock, and resell it (keeping in mind that your resell prices are some of the lowest in comparison to your competitors).  The point of being able to find what's out there is not limiting yourself to one source, thus being able to escape boxing yourself in.  You have to do your own research, your own detective work, and your own hunting.  No one is going to tell you what is right or wrong:  You have to use your own creative mind and do it yourself.  In the below picture is just sample of how I operate and think.
I want things to run smoothly, well lubricated like a soda machine.  A customer finds the product, wants it, and pays for it.  My job is to keep the item in stock, take their money, and ship them the product.  It's that simple!  Forget about the $50,000 you just wasted on a college education that never lead to a job, I have my own plan!  College is another horror story people should try to avoid these days.  College isn't for everyone.  It's a sad reality, but college is not what it used to be.  Never box yourself in, believing that some expensive school is the end all of solutions to a great future of a high paying salary and health insurance benefits.  In any event, I love my makeshift business plan.  It runs and operates like a well, oiled machine.

But seriously, with everyone in believing in Jesus and Buddha is this it?  Is a hole in the wall with a bunch of random ass goods the mecca of my sole propriety of business?  Are you kidding me?  No, I'm not joking.  The world is not ready for the likes of me.  This is how I hold my own in this world.  There is no magical God helping me in any way, shape, or form; and if I were to run the show by myself it would most likely look exactly like this.  Yes, it's a very scary reality where time and resources is very limited.  It's unfortunate, but this is the one night stand of my pride and joy that won't be forgotten.

Five years down the road, how will things look?  Is there a future for such a place?  Am I destined to succeed or fail in business with only a tiny basement?  I look toward Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Larry Page, Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein, and other superstars who have beaten the odds and became self-made men worth millions of dollars.  As for me, things look grim; but I know that I still have time to change for the better; to make things right once with the world and to become the best version, alternate reality of "me" I can be in this world that's happening right now.  It's not going to be easy; it's never going to be easy; but one day the stars will align properly; and I'll be one step closer to my goal of becoming a sufficient self-made man.  Is it real or just a crazy fantasy?

Where's this supply chain of products coming from?  I can't manufacture my own products!?  But wait a minute, Steve Jobs did it.  I saw myself in a room like Steve Jobs, and it became more and more clear that I could pull off my own starter company.  No one has ever heard of me, but yet people buy my products; so I must have something unique.  Yet, there was a problem.  This wasn't a traditional business model for everyone else.  This wasn't something that people are use to.  I had my doubts.  No one else talks about drilling a hole in the wall and making a business out of nothing.  It doesn't bother me.  The key is to hold on to my vision of starting my own fully, functional company.  Focus!  Solomon you got to focus and work hard! Whatever it takes, I will do.

Soy Protein - The Man Boob Test

Man boobs?  Well, I've been trying Soy Protein to bulk up my muscle mass and to feel stronger without breaking the bank.
My whole life I've been on the "Sea Food Diet":  I see food and I eat it.  I've always been super skinny Asian, asthenic body habitus, ectomorph.  It never mattered what I ate; I would never gain or lose a pound.  Therefore, I was never really aware of how sensitive some people are about what they eat and how much weight they would gain following their choice of dieting.  As far as I knew, everyone else was like me.  As I grew up, I realized that everyone is essentially different in how their bodies react to food.  Since gaining weight is rarely an issue for me, I really wanted to bulk up.  I tried various proteins for cost, nutritional value, and practicality.  Because of its affordability, I ended up using soy protein.  After doing much research, not everyone agrees that soy protein is good for you.  It has its pluses and minuses.  Some would 100% agree to stay away from it and try whey protein.  Men do not like growing breasts or soft tissue in any areas of their body, which is the main deterring factor.  If you have freedom and money, chose whey protein hands down.  Because money has always been tight for me, I might as well continue with the soy protein as long as my financials hold up.  There are articles online that continue to explain endlessly why soy protein or whey protein is better for your body, but it always comes down to doing your own research.  Luckily for my readers, I'm just going to toss out pictures of how my body slowly progressed throughout the weeks/months. You make the call if soy protein is working or not.  It may work for my body and not for others.

Keep in mind that I was always mad skinny, like really skinny, thin as a rail skinny.  It was only until I started to work out and try different proteins that I ever gained any visible muscle mass.  After working out, I drink a bottle of soy protein.  Growing man boobs doesn't seem to be much of a problem for me as my natural skinniness will mask any potential risks in adding any estrogen threats.  Again, it seems to be visibly working.  I don't appear to be the skinniest person in class who gets picked on or targeted.  The main goal was to workout and become stronger.  Muscles was just a byproduct of hard work.  As you can see, eating the regular three meals a day, gulping down a shake of soy protein, and working out contributes to a stronger body.  I've concluded that soy protein is the cheapest, practical source of protein I can find without breaking the bank.  But based on recent research, I will probably move onto whey protein further down the road as growing man boobs becomes more of a risk as I age.

Also, soy protein provides most of the essential amino acids your body needs for nutrition/recovery.  I'm not a doctor; but I know a lot of these nutritional facts are good for the male system from working around pharmacies and hospitals.  L-Arginine is even sold separately in pill form for enhancing sexual performance.  Unfortunately, there is also much debate about the estrogen and how it can affect the thyroid gland/hormones in a negative manner or cause an imbalance.  The good news is that I did my own research, found out that I didn't show signs of any significant man boob growth, and I can still wake up tomorrow and confidently workout at the gym without passing out.

What does it mean to workout?  For me, it's performing an exercise until you start either sweating, hurting, or just push yourself to the point you can't do anymore.  I make sure I stretch, do my exercises, and cool down for the day.  But what exercises do you need to do to get huge!?  Again, it's different for everyone.  But to simply put it:  Push ups, sit ups, squats, running, free weights, butterflies, dips, pull ups, chin ups, barbell curls, etc. After much research, I agree that switching up exercises and doing different activities breaks the daily routine that your body is so use to doing everyday that actually encourages and stimulates muscle growth, tearing microfibers, and rebuilding muscle.  To be honest, I have an easier time with doing new and different things than other people.  People who can't handle change or have low tolerance for pain need a different strategy that works for them.  Whatever it takes to reach my goals, I will do.  Fundamentally, it's all about "no pain, no gain".  I already know what's it like to be stuck on a couch, watch TV, and eat bonbons all day.  I've been a homeless before, stuck in the same rut.  Hell, I've even graduated college and been through the unemployment line.  I want things to be different this time.  I want change!  I want results!  I want to achieve my goals!  The only way through is by working hard each day.  It's not about the destination you end up; it's about the journey!  Sure, I want a better life; my own home; to be healthy; to have  money; publish my own book; or whatever it is; but all of that takes some serious effort and work.  If I don't manage to come out on top, it's because I didn't sacrifice enough or didn't give enough of a care.  Sometimes I simply don't care or just plane can't, but that's fine with me too.  Tomorrow is another day.
As for my first article about posting something of real content that is interesting and note worthy to my readers, I didn't do the best job at providing before and after pictures.  I will try and look in my archive to retrieve a photo of myself in the past, just to show you how skinny I was when I started.  Due to American medicine side effects, I've also been fat at one point in my life.  Regardless, I stopped taking the medicine and returned back to my skinny self.  I know now and believe that a lot of the American medicine is a bunch of temporary bullshit and just for profit, generators for large pharmaceutical companies.  Some of it is good, but a lot of it is bad considering the severe side effects and toxins it may do on your live/kidneys.  There's no cheap substitute for hard work that you can just pop a magical pill.  The body needs daily exercise and dieting to maintain overall health both physically, mentally, and/or spiritually.  To deny oneself of working out nor eating right; and having false beliefs/hopes that popping in magic pills is the end game solution is not the way for me to go.  In addition, I've always been terribly addicted to video games.  I always seem to have time for more online video games.  None the less, I'm back at the gym and working out to the fullest.

Thank you for visiting and reading!

How I Became a Homeless

From the very beginning my parent's named me "Solomon" after "King Solomon" from the Bible.  At a young age, I lived a carefree life under the roof of my parent's home.  I grew up in New York around the city.  As long as my family continued to be hard working, there was a roof over our heads.  They were primarily business owners who sold everyday household goods to local customers.  So what's so special and/or unique about my story?  Well, I'm Asian.  Being Chinese automatically sets you differently from the rest of the population.  When I first meet someone, they immediately ask me "Where are you from?  Where are your parent's from?".  I was born here in America, but from their facial expression I know they want me to answer with a "China, Korea, or Japan".  Aside from the obvious everyday shit storms that are created over race and culture, the Chinese have always been very hard working regardless of their upbringing.  Yes, there is much violence, hatred, and rampant racism that comes with being born Chinese; but who hasn't that ever happened to?  The blacks had slavery; the Jews had Hitler; the list goes on and on.   It's important to understand that successful people have learned to appreciate and cultivate the different diversity of people.  Better relationships and businesses are formed this way.  Potential customers and clients are understood better; therefore more money is to be made.  Failure to understand "your customer or client" will ultimately lead to zero dollars earned in the bank and destroy your business.  Unfortunately, I also understand that all of mankind isn't ready for such a diverse place:  Haters gonna hate.  Some may argue how I'm even writing this blog, but if you calculate how hard working the Chinese naturally are anyone can see it's no problem for me to even write an entire bible.  Regardless, I want to achieve my goals or at least try to do my best in life even though they seem to be mediocre to others.

When I was growing up, things like seeming a homeless man picking up trash and eating it outside on the streets of New York City bothered me.  Words like "spoiled" or "entitlement" never even ran through my mind of what a homeless had to face.  This homeless man had the key to persevere and survive much like the cockroaches who have been living on this earth for millions of years.  Ironically, that very same homeless man knew what was up.  To denounce oneself in society and become a homeless is that of every man's true dream.  Forget about working 9AM-5PM, and just wake up in the middle of nowhere and start eating out of a random trash can.  You get to sleep whenever and anywhere you like!  It's paradise on Earth!  The world is your oyster!

But seriously, no one really wants to be a homeless.  No one wishes to eat out of a garbage can unless they're forced to.  I'm well aware there are cases where extreme cheapskates go out of their way and dumpster dive in rich neighborhoods for leftovers by their trash bins outside on the curb for pickup day, but that's a other issue.  Regardless of whatever crazy things people do to save money/time, I want to write a blog and share my experiences and wisdom with my readers.

I will try and write on a daily basis.  My stories and knowledge is very interesting that many people may find offensive, unbelievable, or just weird.  I want my readers to know that most of the information I write is true and from first hand encounters.  I even perform experiments with various store products, health exercises, and special dieting.  My daily goal and focus is only to post clear, cut quality content.  I have tried several attempts before; all of which have been black listed and/or failed to make any money.  This one will, I will try to make as clean as possible; sensor out any profanity, and not post any obscene pictures.  This is my fourth attempt and will abide by the rules this time.  Recently, I found out you need to put your blog/website up for at least 6 months for adsense to work.  Well, that'll be my new goal.  I will try to post every day; but I know I don't have time for "every day"; so I'll do my best to post only quality content at a minimum of once a week just to let my readers know that I'm still alive and my blog is still active.

Thank you and enjoy reading,

Solomon Chau
